Where does our information come from?
Business listings come from chamber of commerce member directories (Canton Regional, North Canton Area, Massillon WestStark, Alliance Area, East Canton and the Stark County Minority Business Association), the Visit Canton partner directory, and owners who submit or claim their listing. Government contacts and hours come from official office websites. Events come from public event calendars and community submissions, and each one links back to its source.
How do we moderate?
Every new business, event, news update and contributor story is reviewed by an editor before it appears. Business owners can claim their listing to keep it accurate. We never make up businesses, phone numbers, hours or events. If something is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
How do Your Stark Favorites work?
Favorites are decided by public votes: one vote per person, per category, per day. Standings are not pay to play. Advertising never changes vote counts or rankings.
Sponsored content and advertising
Banner ads are clearly shown as ads. Contributor stories that promote the writer's own business are labeled as sponsored. See advertising options.
Contributor stories
Local writers apply to contribute. Stories go through an automated check for tone and structure, then an editor reviews them before publishing. Every story credits its author. Write for us.
