What we publish
- Original. Written for Your Stark and not published anywhere else. No copied, spun or AI-boilerplate content.
- Helpful. Guides, itineraries, round-ups, local spotlights and tips readers can actually use.
- Stark County focused. Same focus as the site: Stark County, Ohio places, businesses, events and life.
- Mentions listed businesses. Feature businesses that have a listing on Your Stark. We'll link your story to their pages and theirs to yours. Not listed yet? They can add themselves free.
- Positive and respectful. No cussing, no disparaging people, businesses or towns, and no negativity. Honest is fine; mean isn't.
Fees and paid placements
Self-promotion: $49 publishing fee
If your article mentions you, your company or something you sell, a one-time $49 publishing fee applies. We'll invoice you after approval and publish once it's paid. Online payment is coming soon.
Paid spots: revenue share
If a business pays you to be included, that revenue must be split with Your Stark (Digital Directories LLC). The split is negotiable: email [email protected] or tick "paid / sponsored contributor" in the form to discuss. Stories with paid spots are labeled Sponsored.
Genuine editorial stories with no self-promotion or paid spots are free to publish.
How it works
1. Apply
Tell us about you, your audience and the topics you'd like to cover.
2. Get approved
Our editor reviews your application, usually within a few days.
3. Write or upload
Use our built-in editor or upload a ready-to-publish Word file.
4. Add a featured image
Upload a landscape photo and position the 1200x630 crop used for your story and social shares.
5. AI check
Our AI editor suggests heading and wording fixes before you submit.
6. Review and publish
An editor reviews it and publishes it to Stories and the News feed.
